Yet again, it was a huge pleasure to be invited into the calm and hospitable environment that Bedstone College exudes. Attentive and curious audience. In spite of a nervous start and the presentation itself beset with technical problems, it all seemed to go very well indeed. We were treated to a lovely meal and six or seven people (including the biology staff) came up and said that they would like to concentrate a bit more of their biology studies towards the marine environment. This, to me, was the zenith of the evening - - if we can persuade more youngsters to address the very serious shark depletion problem and the increasing oceanic acidification, then we are 'doing our stuff'
