About our charity : Whale And Dolphin Conservation Society
WDCS, the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society is the global voice for the protection of whales, dolphins and their environment. WDCS works to prevent the suffering of whales and dolphins (cetaceans) in captivity, to stop their deliberate killing and to end tragic deaths from pollution or entanglement in fishing nets. Get active with WDCS and make that difference. You can help in so many ways. Adopt a dolphin, follow the WDCS boat users code of conduct when around cetaceans, make a donation or report your cetacean sightings online!

Our personal message:

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm absolutely delighted and honored to have been asked by WDCS to run the London Marathon in support of the Protect Our Dolphins campaign. The dolphins of the Moray Firth have brought pleasure to many people over the years, and the least we can do is respect the small area that has been allocated as a Special Area of Conservation, providing a refuge for them from the continued development of the marine area.

One of my lingering memories of my own time in Scotland is the dolphin encounters I enjoyed over the course of a wonderful summer. I'll be running both the Bath Half Marathon in March, and the London Marathon on April, in a dolphin costume, and I hope my wheezing, stumbling progress round the course can contribute towards the continued protection and security of the vulnerable dolphins of the Moray Firth.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Whale And Dolphin Conservation Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thank you,

Monty
